Frequently Asked Questions

What are the different printing methods for event stationery?

  • Digital Printing - Digital stationery projects are professionally printed on 100 lb - 130 lb high quality paper. Double-thick cardstock is available for digital printing. This print method is best for projects that require a lot of colors or illustrations. It is the most cost effective of the printing methods.
  • Letterpress - This is the oldest of all the print methods. Metal plates are created and used as a stamp with or without the use of ink, to create a deep impression into the paper.
  • Foil Stamping - Similar to Letterpress, a metal plate is made for your artwork and then stamped onto the paper using heat and pressure to apply the foil. If you are looking to incorporate metallic details to your stationery, this is the method of choice!

How long does the design and printing process take for custom stationery?

Please reach out atleast 4 months prior to your preferred delivery date. Your delivery date is the date you pick up your invitations from our studio. Print timelines are dependent on your chosen printing methods and service package.

How many invitation suites should I order?

The number of suites needed will correspond with how many mailing addresses you have, not your guest count. We recommend ordering and additional 10-15 extra suites to have on hand in case there are any last minute additions, bounced mailings and keepsakes for you and your family. Printing a secondary smaller run of your suite can be very costly.

What is the mailing timeline for custom stationery?

Save the Dates should be mailed out 6-8 months prior to your event date. Invitations should be mailed out 6-8 weeks prior to your event date. If you did not send save the dates you should consider sending out your invitations on the earlier side to provide your guests with more notice.
If a large portion of your guest list are travelling from out of town, you should consider sending out your stationery 4-6 weeks earlier.

Do you offer assembly and mailing services?

Leave it all to us. We offer a full service package where we will assemble, seal and mail your invitations for you. This is a great option if you have embellishments like wax seals or ribbon that requires extra special attention.

Do you offer Day of Stationery for our event?

We love working with you to create a cohesive asesthetic between your invitation and your Day of Stationery pieces. Some examples include: Menus, programs, escort cards, seating boards, signage, napkins and so much more.
